The Fasig Tipton Saratoga Fall Sale is becoming well known for producing NY bred racing and breeding talent, and the 2021 sale did not disappoint. International Equine is pleased to be joined our long-term colleagues at Epona Racing Stable and Toga Party Racing Stable in sourcing this athletic filly by perennial leading NY Bred Stallion, FREUD. Artistic Success is out of the well-bred mare Alma Llanera (DISTORTED HUMOR), a half-sister to the multiple European Group Stakes winning colt, CAMPANOLOGIST as well as connections to Champion Sire and Champion Grass Horse SINGSPIEL. This filly was acquired for our group by Clark Shepherd of Shepherd Equine Advisers, and she hails from the family of the Foundation Mare, GLORIOUS SONG.
After a long and patient development process, Artistic Success rewarded her connections when she broke her maiden in dominating style at historic Saratoga in July of 2025. Under the confident ride of leading jockey Irad Ortiz Jr, she went wire to wire, making every pole of the 1-mile turf course a winning one. She will be pointed to allowance company races for the remainder of the year, and we are very excited for her future.
